Blade Runner 2049 - Flight to LAPD recreated in Minecraft
I was recently given a chance to render a default Minecraft build, this one being a recreation of the LAPD building. The workflow consisted of building and exporting the map from Minecraft (done by FreyaMC_), then continuing work in a DCC with the model as a normal polygon 3D model. As a result, I tried to recreate the scene from the original movie, including the animations. This was made with Cinema4D, Octane and Fusion.
In hindsight, volumes could have been done outside of the renderer, but I enjoyed the accuracy and haze that the approach gave.
